Raising Organization Representation Within Different Events

Design Work - Creating a consistent tournament identity while celebrating unique host nations.

At Greenman Workshops, we’ve been working closely with the International Medieval Combat Federation (IMCF) to ensure that each of its global tournaments carries the same cohesive identity while celebrating the unique culture of its host country.

Creating a Visual Language For IMCF Events

Every IMCF tournament is different, taking place in various countries, each with its own traditions, landscapes, and fighters. Our challenge? Unifying them under a single IMCF identity while allowing each event to feel distinct.

So, how did we do it?

Consistent Core Branding

We developed a signature IMCF look, incorporating the federation’s official colors, fonts, and layout elements to create a sense of brand recognition across all events.

Localized Identity

Each tournament poster includes design elements inspired by the host nation—whether it’s an iconic landmark, a national flag, or subtle cultural motifs. This ensures that while the IMCF brand stays strong, each country’s identity shines through.

Action-Packed Visuals

Medieval combat is fierce, tactical, and exhilarating. Our posters capture that energy and intensity with bold imagery, dynamic fighter shots, and a storytelling approach that places warriors at the heart of the design.

Why Strong Tournament Brand Matters?

Visual identity isn’t just about looking good—it’s about building credibility, attracting audiences, and making tournaments feel like world-class sporting events. Here’s what a strong, unified design does for IMCF:

Boosts Awareness - A recognizable look makes IMCF tournaments stand out on social media, websites, and promotional materials.

Strengthens Community Engagement - Fighters and fans alike feel a sense of belonging when they see the same professional branding at every tournament.

Enhances Sponsorship Appeal - A well-branded event appears more prestigious and professional, making it more attractive to sponsors and media partners
